Virtual Community Wellness Session Calls Men to Take Action for Mental and Emotional Well-being
Updated: Sep 18
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — In response to the growing need for mental health awareness and support among men, the first and most crucial step for men to take in addressing mental health challenges is recognizing when to seek help — before stress and emotional strain escalate into depression or mental anguish.

The Greater Life of Fayetteville’s PIN (People In Need) program has joined forces with Carolina Collaborative Community Care (4C) to present “Tight’n It Up: Mental Health in Manhood,” a virtual community wellness session dedicated to fostering open conversation, education, and proactive care for men. The virtual session will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 6:30 PM, offering participants valuable insight and practical strategies for maintaining emotional well-being and resilience.
Too often, men choose to suffer in silence when faced with mental health challenges that feel beyond their control. Many fear that reaching out for help might be seen as a sign of weakness — but, in truth, it’s one of the strongest steps a man can take. Without support, this silence can lead to internalized pain, isolation from loved ones, and unhealthy ways of coping. By breaking the stigma and speaking openly about mental health, men can begin to heal, reconnect, and reclaim their strength from the inside out.
The virtual community wellness session serves as a call to action for men to acknowledge the serious impact of untreated mental health conditions, which can lead to heightened levels of depression, anxiety, and, in some cases, suicide if not properly diagnosed and treated.
Featured guest speaker Dr. Gary James Robinson, Family Medicine Physician at Goshen Medical Center and Ordained Minister, will lead the discussion by offering practical, evidence-based solutions and spiritual insight to address the mental health challenges many men face today. Participants will have access to a range of resources, including professional counseling and treatment options, guidance on healthy lifestyle modifications, and effective self-care practices designed to support long-term mental wellness and resilience.
‘Tight’N It Up: Mental Health In Manhood’ is presented by Greater Life Of Fayetteville’s PIN People In Need program in partnership with Carolina Collaborative Community Care (4C) and Dr. Gary James Robinson.
