I AM YOU-nique Summer Academy 2025: Cumberland County Police Department

The generous support of the Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc.’s Summertime Kids Fund helps Greater Life of Fayetteville create meaningful experiences that educate, empower, and inspire our youth.

As part of our I AM YOU-nique Summer Academy, students had the opportunity to engage with Major Morgan of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and two Cumberland County School Resource Officers for an important conversation about making smart decisions, choosing positive friendships, and listening to parents and teachers.

Students also explored the department’s detention prevention trailer, experienced an exciting K-9 demonstration, and received sheriff’s office gift bags, making the experience both educational and memorable.

These moments go beyond summer activities. They give young people opportunities to learn, ask questions, build positive relationships with community leaders, and understand the importance of the choices they make.

Thank you, Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc. and the Cumberland County Police Department, for continuing to create opportunities that help our youth grow and learn.

Together, we are creating experiences that make a difference... One Life, One Family, And One Community At A Time.
