FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Understanding how love languages can transform the way parents relate to their children empowers them to create discipline practices rooted in love and open communication. When love languages form the foundation of the parent-child relationship, parents are better able to set clear boundaries and expectations while building deeper connections. This approach helps children communicate more effectively, reduces behavioral challenges, and supports healthy, positive decision-making.

The Greater Life of Fayetteville’s PIN (People In Need) Program will host ‘Love Languages in Parenting: The Love of Discipline,’ an engaging parenting workshop designed to give parents practical strategies for communicating and connecting with their children in meaningful, productive ways. The free workshop will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Covenant Love Church – Fellowship Hall, 420 Dunn Road, Fayetteville, NC

Participants will learn from parenting professionals about practical verbal and nonverbal approaches for using love languages to nurture emotional development, encourage healthy choices, and reinforce positive behavior at home and in school. The workshop reinforces a parent’s responsibility to:

  • Model love with consistency and intentional care through everyday actions and responses;

  • Guide children toward positive, healthy choices with encouragement and a clear sense of purpose;

  • Apply discipline strategies rooted in love and open communication, replacing fear or punishment with accountability and growth;

  • Set clear boundaries and expectations that help children feel supported and confident as they learn self-control and responsibility.

‘Love Languages in Parenting: The Love of Discipline’ is presented by Greater Life Of Fayetteville’s PIN People In Need Program.
